Latex Mattress Manufacturers
There are only 3 latex manufacturers in North America.
1) Latex International (manufacturer)
2) Essentia - Latex Mattresses (manufacturer and brand)
3) LatexCo (manufacturer)
Latex foam is primarily manufactured in Europe. Italy, Belgium, France and England each manufacture latex foam used in mattresses.
China and India have also begun to manufacture latex foam.
No mattress company makes thier own latex foam except for Essentia. Latex mattress "manufacturers" in the United States and Canada simply put components together under their brand. Few have any competitive advantage. They differentiate themselves with price, warranty, money back guarantees or by using certain wools or cottons, be it organic or natural. Oftentimes the only difference is their story.
Certifications are also acquired to differentiate themselves from the competition. The most common are Green Guard certified latex mattresses, Oeko-Tex certified latex mattresses, Association certifications, Green America approved certifications and Euro Latex Certified latex.
